    You MUST Format the SD Card before each Recording

    STARTING THE TIME-LAPSE

    Step One: Format SD Card 1. Turn on Go Pro by holding the buttonon the side down.2. Swipe down from the top of the screen to revealthe menu.3. Click on “Preferences” and scroll down to “FORMAT SDCARD”4. Select this, and press “OK”

    Step Two: Selecting Time-Lapse Mode 1. As default, once the GoPro is turned on I have configured it to be ready to

    start Time Lapsing (photo) at 30 seconds.2. Press the Mode (sidebutton) button until the Time-Lapse screen appears.3. Select“Time-Lapse Photo”, ensure settings are set to “30 Seconds” and

    “12mp”4. Press the mode button to escape once settings have beenset.

    Step Three: Plug in Go Pro to GPO 1. Plug the Go Pro chargingcable (USB-A to USB Type C) into the Go Pro with

    the USB C termination going into the camera.2. Plug the chargerinto a GPO located on the Bio Box desk near the projector.

    Step Four: Positioning of Go Pro 1. Place the Go Pro in theposition, closest to the silver lip on the edge of the bio

    box desk.2. Ensure the power cable is still in place once the GoPro has been positioned,

    make sure the Go Pro will not move during the time-lapse.

    END OF TIME-LAPSE

    1. Press the recording button (top button) on the Go Pro to stopits recording.2. Power off the Go Pro, hold down the side button.3.Take Go Pro out of its housing, import footage via the USB-Ccable.4. Import all footage onto LaCie HD (Ben Mills) in theArchive folder, and then

    into corresponding subfolders (bump in, focus, plot etc.)

    Show Recording

    Pre-show 1. See show plot for power up sequence.2. For All threeof the Blackmagic Hyperdeck minis ensure that all are

    set to record as H624 Medium.3. Format the SD cards in both theHyperdecks minis and in the

    Zoom H6 Recorder.

    Beginners 1. Start recording on all three Blackmagic Hyperdeckminis by

    pressing the record button, each Hyperdeck will record on ofthefollowing OP Stage Camera, C Stage Fee Camera and PSStageCamera.

    2. Start recording on the Zoom H6 which will record the stagefeedaudio (left and right) and comms recording.

    Post Show 1. Stop recording on all devices. Hyperdecks, this isdone by using

    the STOP button on each device. Zoom H6 Recorder, this is donebypressing the stop button.

    Post Show After FOH Clearance

    1. Stop the Zoom H6 recording for the stage feed andcommsrecording. Bring SD Card down to the green room toimportcontent into the LaCie HD (Ben Mills).

    2. Stop all recording on cameras #1-3, on the Hyperdecks, thisisdone by using the STOP button on each device.

    3. Import all footage onto the Archive HD into the appropriatefolders,(Show, Camera, Comms Recording etc).

    4. Once confirmed that all footage has been backed up to theArchiveHD format all the SD Cards.

    Two Hour Call: Power On:

    - Vision:o Turn on the vision control power board which isconnected to a technical earth

    GPO. This power board has plugged in into it the Mac Pro,Monitor, NetworkSwitch, Blackmagic Decklink Quad 2.

    o Power on the Projector that is used in the show, which is thePanasonic PT-DZ21K. The mains power button should be already in theON position, press thePOWER ON button on the side of the projectorfor 3 seconds. Wait until theprojector starts to power up andcontinue with the power up sequence.

    o Power on the Mac Pro by pressing the silver power button onthe front of itshousing for 3 seconds until the mac start up soundcan be heard.

    o Turn on the monitor by pressing the touch sensor power icon onthe front of thedisplay.

    o Once the projector has powered up, check that the signal thatthe projector isbeing inputted is 1080/60i. A pop-up window willappear on the left-hand side ofthe surface.

    o Open Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup on the Mac Pro.

    o Click through until Decklink Quad (8) appears on the screen.From this click into itto check its settings.

    o Check that the Output Format is set to 1080i60.o Check thatthe Connector is set to SDI 8.

    o Once this is all correct. Save and QUIT Blackmagic DesktopVideo Setup. Makesure this is completely quit before opening theQLAB Show file.

    § If the projector isn’t recognising the input, check thefollowing:• Make sure that the DIN21-SDI cable located at the backof the Mac

    Pro in the Decklink Quad 2 is connected properly andisn’tdamaged.

    • Make sure the connection from DIN21 – SDI to the SDI cable totheprojector is securely in place. As well as the SDI connectioninto theprojector itself.

    • Make sure the projector is set to INPUT SDI 1 this can becheckedby going into MENU, scrolling down and selecting signallist, andchecking that the input the projector is receiving is SDI1, at1080i60.

    • If the projector is still not receiving any signal, quitDecklink andrestart the computer and power down the projector. Onceall hasbeen powered down, wait at least 1 minute to give it sometime,then power up the projector then the Mac Pro. This shouldresolvethe issue.

    o On the desktop open the Folder named “Show Files”o Open thefile named “2018_QUTActing_MND_VisionShowFile_Bundle_V2

    o Once this is opened, click on the setting icon and go into theVIDEO Tab.

    o Click EDIT, on the Back Wall Surface which should be the onlysurface available.

    o Open the surface setting and put up the grid. This is done byclicking the GRIDbutton.

    o Make sure that the projector is focused correctly to the edgesof the wall andmake sure that the focus is correct.

    o Once the grid is up and the focus is correct, unclick the GRIDbutton and returnback to the main cue list.

    o Check that QLAB has control of the shutter over the network.This is done bygoing on the Shutter Close Cue and Shutter Open Cuethat is located in thePreshow Checks Cue List.

    § If this doesn’t work check that the ethernet cable that is inthe projectorhasn’t come lose or unplugged.

    § Double check that the Network switch is powered on and theethernetcables connected are plugged in correctly.

    § Check the IP Address of the projector and make sure it is192.168.10.160.If this has changed, set it back to 192.168.10.160.To check this, on theprojector, using the button on the side, clickMENU, then use the arrowdown button (with will be the top arrowbecause the projector has beenpositioned upside down due torestrictions on placement) until NETWORKis selected, click theENTER button, scroll down until IP Address isselected and clickENTER and use the arrows to change the IP address.

    SOUND: - Turn on all GPO’s that are on the desk of the bio box.-Power on the Mac Mini by pressing the power button.

    o Open the folder Show file, and open thefile“2018_QUTActing_MND_SoundShowFile_V3”

    - Turn on the monitor by pressing the power on touch sensor onthe front of the monitor.- Power on the MOTU 16A audio interface,by switching on the power switch (located on

    the front right of the mac mini housing)- The sound console thatis being used of MND is the Soundcraft SI Expression 1. Power

    on the sound console by pressing the power button in and holdingfor 2 seconds. Theconsole will take a while to power on but whilstthis is happening, turn on the FOH andREAR speaker AMPS. This isdone by pressing the power buttons locating in the venuepatchingrack at the bottom and turning the two amps labelled “REAR” and“FOH” ON.

    - Power on all Stage Audio, which consists of the three Subs andthe two atmosspeakers, they are located in the upstage wall trapsin the wall both OP and PS.

    - Power on the ULXD4D rack which is located below the basestation for Comms.- Turn on the base station (HME DX200) bypressing the power button.- Turn on the Show Relay which is locatedabove the base station, by pressing the power

    switch onto the ON position. Please note that the LED lights arebroken and do not workbut if the switch is in the ON position, theshow relay is on.

    - Wireless Microphones:o The Wireless microphones that are usedin the show are the ULXD SM58. There

    are two of these used, on the desk Chan 9 is the Primary andChan 10 is theSecondary. On the physical microphone the primary hasbeen labelled for easeof locating it for the actors.

    o Before each show the batteries MUST be changed with new freshAA batteries.These batteries can be located in the AudioCupboard.

    o Each microphone requires two AA batteries.

    - Sound Check:o Play the Preshow Check group in the show file.Mute channels 1 through 11 at

    the desk and bring up each speaker and turn it on and check thatsound iscoming out, then move onto the next speaker.

    o Once this is done, press the RECALL button located above themaster fader andrecall “MND18”.

    - Hour Call:o Mic Check with Cast:

    § Once Ms Grima, is ready with the cast after fight call get MsTucker, MsPrice and Mr Carseldine to get ready for a Mic Check.Make sure thePrimary and Secondary microphones are switched on andare receivingsignal at the desk.

    § Turn on Chan. 9 on the desk and bring up the fader to -10db.§Get cast to say a couple of their lines when they use themicrophone and

    make sure there is no feedback.o Once Mic Check is complete, getMs Grima to turn off both microphones and

    place them in there pre-set positions.- Archival

    o Turn on the Blackmagic Video Switcher at the front of itshousing which is locatedunderneath the projector.

    During the Show: - When instructed by SM go into SND Q 0.5(Preshow).- Shutter the projector when instructed by Head LX forBlackout check.- Respond to standby’s with Sound when SM puts upstandbys.- When a MIC Q is called, press Chan. 9 ON and ride thefader up.- Write down any notes of nothing that went wrong duringthe show.

    Power Down: - Once Front of House Clearance has been given, savethe show file on both the Sound

    Mac Mini and the Vision Mac Pro- Stop recording on theHyperdecks and the Zoom.

    o Take out all SD cards and start downloading content off themonto Archive LacieHardrive.

    - Power down the projector by pressing the Standby button andthen selecting the OKbutton.

    - Power down the Mac Pro.- Power off all stage audio speakersand the FOH & REAR Amps.- Power down the audio sound console bypress and holding the power button and

    pressing it again. This will power down the console.- Turn offthe wireless microphones and the ULXD40 Receiver.- Turn off theComms base station.- Power off the vision power board.- All systemswill have been powered down.
