The Hurry-Up: Five-star 2026 Quarterback Dia Bell Headlines List of Recruits Expected for Ohio State's Tuesday Camp, Recruits React to Their OSU Official Visits Last Weekend (2024)

Ohio State coaches and recruiting staff will be back on the fields of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Tuesday evaluating hundreds of prospects working out on campus.

The first two camps brought plenty of exciting storylines, and this week should be no different from an on-field perspective.

For Tuesday, the day's headliner is expected to be five-star 2026 quarterback Dia Bell, who has a heavy interest in the Buckeyes and will return to camp for a second straight year to throw in front of Ryan Day. Bell is the No. 10 overall prospect and the No. 2 quarterback in the 2026 class, according to247Sports' composite rankings. Another intriguing 2026 quarterback will also be on campus in four-star California prospect Brady Palmer, whom the Buckeyes offered in April.

One year ago, 2026 wide receiver Brody Keefe impressed Brian Hartline at a recruiting camp enough to earn an offer. One year later, Keefe will return to Ohio Stateto get more work in with Hartline.

Social media reaction to Faheem Delane’s commitment and OSU’s official visits

Ohio State just wrapped up its second official visit weekend of the summer and the early returns are filled with positive vibes.

Ten official visitors were on campus, three of them commits, and a fourth left campus as a commit himself (more on that later).

Ohio State made a grand impression on California offensive lineman Jackson Lloyd, who visited Columbusfor the second time since receiving his offer last month. Lloyd will visit Alabama next, and many believe the Crimson Tide are still the biggest threat to the Buckeyes landing the 6-foot-7, 290-pound prospect, but the Buckeyes have likely impressed him and his family enough to where the gap in his recruitment has narrowed.

Four-star wide receiver Quincy Porter was another high-priority target for the Buckeyes last weekend and Brian Hartline spent the weekend ensuring the New Jersey product that he’s a massive priority for the Buckeyes in the 2025 cycle. By all accounts, that endeavor was successful. Porter is scheduled to visit Michigan this upcoming weekend, which could pose the biggest threat to the Buckeyes in this recruitment. He’s expected to make a decision in mid-July.

Three-star offensive linemen Andrew Stargel and Jayvon McFadden both seemingly enjoyed their visits to Ohio State. McFadden has a visit to South Carolina set for next week and may take his recruitment into the fall, so that may be worth monitoring. Stargel is set to commit on July 4, but the emergence of Jake Cook in the 2025 class is certainly giving Ohio Statesomething to think about for its center spot in the current cycle.

Defensive linemen Trajen Odom and Damien Shanklin each said glowing things about the Buckeyes following their visits to various outlets, but those recruitments are in a bit of a different spot right now. The Buckeyes are the likely landing spot for Odom, but he still has visits to Oregon and USC on the docket for the next two weeks that could throw a wrinkle into things. A late June or early July decision is expected for the North Carolina defensive tackle. LSU probably still leads for Shanklin meanwhile, though his commitment isn’t expected until late August, so a lot can change between now and then.

Finally, Ohio Statelanded a commitment for the second straight official visit weekend, with priority safety target Faheem Delane pulling the trigger on Sunday. Various OSU staffers, commits and other potential targets reacted to Delane’s commitment on social media and we’ve rounded up some of the more notable tweets below.

Henry Fenuku commits to Missouri, Ziyare Addison commits to Oregon

Two offensive linemen with Ohio State offers in the 2025 class are off the board.

Three-star Texas prospect Henry Fenuku, who took an official visit to Columbus on May 31, committed to Mizzou on Monday following an official visit last weekend in Columbia. Fenuku looked like an Ohio Statelean at one point, but the Buckeyes may have their eyes set on other interior offensive linemen, such as Jayvon McFadden, Andrew Stargel, and more locally, Jake Cook, who the Buckeyes continue to monitor after an impressive camp performance last week.

Meanwhile, four-star Florida product Ziyare Addison committed to Big Ten rival Oregon on Monday. Ohio Statehad been a pretty late entry to Addison’s recruitment, only getting involved within the last month, so it wasn’t terribly surprising to see him headed elsewhere. On a similar note, Oregon has continued to flex its recruiting muscles in the past few seasons, so seeing how the Ducks transition to the Big Ten will be interesting.
