Last week, I arrived in Sapporo to represent TechBBQ during the TechBBQ Sapporo event, and the whole Hokkaido Innovation Week. I came with an open heart and excited to see how the Hokkaido ecosystem has grown.Now, a week later, I'm still in awe and overflowing with pride, looking at the amazing work the whole HIW team put into promoting the Hokkaido ecosystem worldwide and bringing so many great people together.Kudos to Miho Tanaka Seiko Miura Ryuta f*ckasawa Kotaro Abe Yamato Nakamoto and the volunteering teams! The ecosystem is in great hands, and the growth opportunities are endless.Also, special thanks to some other outstanding people I got to meet and connect with Jørn Lein-Mathisen Masami Takahashi Kana Ozono Emil Asgrimsson Sachin Chanda Audun Abelsnes Halvard Aagaard Jason C. 10 months ago I embarked on a new journey, with hopes of having a tangible impact on the Nordic ecosystem. Can't believe how fast time flew by, and that starting tomorrow, everyone will be able to see the fruits of the work of the great TechBBQ crew!Over 170 partners, 26 international delegations, 14 embassies involved. Cooking something new…I’m delighted to share that this December I joined TechBBQ as the new Global Partnership Manager, and officially became an Advisory Board Member of an amazing Danish startup, Maneno !Throughout the last few years of working with Colin Brown, I’ve found my mentor, learned from my mistakes, grew personally and career-wise - and now I’m able to continue being involved, while also growing even further and expanding my horizons, which feels like I’ve got to eat the cake and also keep the cake!I moved to Copenhagen four months ago, and for some, four months may not be enough time to form strong opinions. However for me, after living abroad for the majority of my adulthood, these months were enough to make me feel as though I have finally found the place which aligns with my beliefs and values, and makes me feel at home. I can’t wait to explore the beauty of Denmark and its culture even more!By joining the amazing TechBBQ team, I hope to expand my Nordic network and make a significant, tangible impact in the Scandinavian ecosystem.It would be great to reconnect with anyone from my network - and if you know anyone else that would be great talking to in Scandinavia - shoot me a message as well!#team #career #network #culture #techbbq #denmark
